FIRST PERSON, SECOND PERSON, THIRD PERSON — Forthcoming

Bridge Eight Press to publish William Walsh’s new experimental novel

Bridge Eight Press is excited to announce that we’ve acquired First Person, Second Person, Third Person by William Walsh and will be publishing the novel as part of our next slate of titles.

The short novel concerns a marital infidelity told in alternating chapters, using first-, second-, and third-person perspectives to present the full story. Walsh’s experimental approach heightens the conflict between the triangle while accentuating the personal struggles each is battling within.

In addition to two recent novellas, The Poems and The Poets (both from Erratum Press), William Walsh is the author of Forty-five American Boys (Outpost 19), ON TV, Stephen King Stephen King, Unknown Arts (2011), Ampersand, Mass., Pathologies, Questionstruck (all from Keyhole Press), and Without Wax (Casperian Books). Over the years, his work has appeared in a number of journals, including Midcult, Always Crashing, Hobart, Juked, LIT, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, New York Tyrant, and Quarterly West, as well as anthologies like Dzanc’s Best of the Web, The &NOW Anthology of Innovative Writing, and The Norton Anthology of Exceptionally Short Fiction.
