Bridge Eight, Inc. is a nonprofit publishing company with a two-part mission: to enrich the Jacksonville community with literary arts education, and to be the voice of Jacksonville in the national literary community, thus transforming our city into the New Literary Capital of the South.
Left on Mallory is the community arm of Bridge Eight. Founded in January 2013, the community creates an environment for writers in Jacksonville to come, collaborate and grow in their craft through writing workshops and open writing nights. Learn More
The Abridged Reading series was first presented by Bridge Eight in August, 2014. Abridged is the only literary reading series hosted in Jacksonville’s urban core and to date has featured a total of 12 authors over 4 separate events. Learn More
Bridge Eight Literary Magazine is Jacksonville’s only independent print Literary Magazine. As a bi-annual publication, it publishes new and established writers in Jacksonville, the Southeast and beyond. Subscribe
